Define the meeting-to-task boundary
A meeting often contains options, disagreements, tentative decisions, and action items for different owners. The agent should not infer the final requirement from the entire transcript. Create a handoff step that captures only the approved decision.

The repository and service owner.
Constraints and non-goals.

Public channels can use a default repository, but convenience can cause unrelated discussions to target the wrong codebase. Define defaults only for channels with stable ownership and purpose.
For each enabled channel, record:

Do not post secrets, long source files, customer data, or unfiltered command output into the thread. Keep detailed artifacts in the repository or approved logging system.
Preserve human compliance oversight
GitHub allows an extra approval requirement for pull requests created through the Teams integration identity. Apply this where a distinct human sign-off is required. The additional reviewer should verify business intent, not only code syntax.

Should the agent receive the full meeting transcript?
Usually not. Provide the approved action item and only the supporting context required to complete it. This reduces privacy exposure and conflicting instructions.
Can the integration merge its own pull request?
Repository policy should preserve appropriate human review. Agent-authored work should not bypass branch protection or compliance controls simply because it began in a trusted channel.
